Sensing the heat from the rival luxury automakers who are rolling out an array of mid sized crossovers, Porsche is sniffing adding another compact SUV model to its line up. The new model will tout the same drivetrains as the larger Cayenne is anticipated to be offered with both the V6 and V8 powerplants. As CEO of the company has already hinted the new production units for the fopur door Panamera, we can hope for a new small SUV too.

With the economic crisis that is going on right now, I wonder if Porsche would still push through with this. They might just end up modifying old editions, making them have a better gas mileage.
